  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1/2 lb sharp New York Cheddar, grated
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups flour, not sifted

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Let butter and cheese get to room temperature. Cream with electric mixer. Add dry ingredients that have been sifted together. Bake about 12 minutes at 375 degrees

For wreaths, use cookie press with the star tip. For logs (about the size of a quarter), wrap in plastic and refrigerated. When dough has stiffened, unwrap and slice into 1/8 circiles, place on cookie sheets and press whole pecan half in the center.
