Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 12 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/3 inch slices
- 1 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled

Preparation
Step 1
Put flour in a shallow bowl. Lightly beat the egg in another bowl.
Season the cheese sliced with pepper and oregano, then dredge in flour, shaking off excess. Dip the cheese into the egg, letting the excess drip off and then roll in bread crumbs to generously coat, pressing gently.
Heat oil and fry, turning with a slotted spoon until golden
