Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon dried chopped onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch (for thickening)
  • 1 teaspoon dried green pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 celery seeds

Preparation

Step 1

After you have found out what you enjoy you'll be ready to make your mix in greater quantities. Double the amounts to make two packets, use 3 times the amount for three packets and so on. After making the mix up divide it into the appropriate number of batches and put them into individual packages. You might use foil, paper and tape, or small plastic baggies to make your packaging.

*+To make the Sloppy Joe:+*

1 packet of Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix
1 pound of ground beef
1 can of tomato paste
1 chopped green pepper (if you can't find the dried)
1 1/4 cup of water
6 hamburger buns

In a skillet cook ground beef until browned, mashing meat with fork. Drain off fat. Then stir in tomato paste, water and Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix. Cook over a medium heat allowing the flavors to develop for approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Divide up your Sloppy Joe mixture evenly between the hamburger buns and serve.
