Ingredients
- 1 chicken fryer, cut up (4-5 chicken breasts)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 garlic clove
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fat
- 1 sm. can sliced mushrooms
- 1 cop of liquid from mushrooms
- 1-1 1/2 cups white wine (sauterne)

Preparation
Step 1
Coat chicken with flour and seasonings. Fry in the fat until golden brown. Saute mushrooms and also brown slightly, garlic skewered on a toothpick in chicken drippings. Add the mushrooms, liquied and the wine. Simmer for 10 minutes. Put the chicken in a greased casserole. Add the mushrooms, garlic and liquid. Cover and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour. If desired add more wine or water during baking. Leave the toothpicks in the garlic so that they can be removed before serving.
