  • 4 1/2 pounds tomato, ripe peeled
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon, broken
  • 1 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cloves

Step 1

Scald and peel tomatoes and then quarter them.
1. Place in a cooking pan and add sugar, vinegar, and spices.
2. Cook slowly till thickened and put in jars.
