Ingredients
- 2 ripe pears
- 2 dried pear halves, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint or 1/4 cup cilantro
- 1 lime, zest and juice
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 large jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red hot pepper

Preparation
Step 1
1 Core pears and cut into ½ inch cubes.
2 In a medium bowl, gently toss cubed pears with chopped dried pears, red onion, mint, lime juice and zest, ginger, jalapeno pepper, salt and hot pepper until well mixed.
3 Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
