Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup boiling water

Step 1

Add butter and salt to boiling water in saucepan all at once and stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each addition until smooth.
Shape puffs on lightly buttered cookie sheet by dropping from a tablespoon.
Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
Cool, cut, slit inside and fill.
