Strawberry Coulis {a dessert topping}

Strawberry coulis is a very simple and quick to make fruit sauce. Requires no cooking. Great for drizzling over ice cream, pound cakes, angel food cakes, over Greek yogurt and granola or even as a salad dressing.

Ingredients
- 1 cup (about 6 oz.) strawberries, washed, hulled and quartered
- 5 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar (optional if your strawberries are very sweet)
- 2 tsp lemon or lime juice

Step 1
Place strawberries and water in food processor and process until smooth.
You can strain the mixture at this point.
Add sugar and lemon or lime juice and process until all is mixed well.
Store in a covered container in your fridge until ready to use. Keeps well up to 5 days.
