Ingredients

1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
2 tablespoons oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed, beat together cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs and vanilla, until batter is smooth. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto baking sheets. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Note: Melt a few caramels and drizzle on top and between pecans...then they're like Turtle Cookies!
