Chicken and Dumplings

  • 2 1/2 Cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper (white)
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1/2 Cup Butter Crisco
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning



Step 1

Boil Chicken

Mix dry ingredients, cut in Crisco, mix in milk until very moist
Roll out on floured board until thin, cut in about 1 inch squares

Bone and skin chicken and cut into bite sized chunks

To Chicken broth add:
1 Cup milk
1 Stick Margarine
Poultry seasoning

Cook in hot broth for 25-30 minutes. Simmer only - DO NOT boil on high.
