- 1 pound unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preheat oven to 350
Using electric mixer, bet butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add sugar and beat until no granules remain. Add flour, a little at a time, at a low speed. Add vanilla.
Divide balls into 3 oz balls. Press cookie down on a plate of sprinkles( be generous with the sprinkles) until 1/4 inch thick.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are very lightly browned on edges and bottom. Remove from oven and cool completely.
