Ingredients

  • 1 1-L.bottle of glühwein
  • 1/4 . L of red wine
  • 2 lemons, cut into thin disks and deseeded
  • 2.5 oranges, cut into thin disks and deseeded
  • 4 Tbsp ultrafine sugar
  • Juice of 1/2 orange
  • 4 Shots Grand Marnier or Cointreau
  • 1.5 Cup of apples, diced small
  • 1 small can of diced pineapples (with juice)
  • 3 Cups ginger ale (or a mix of ginger water and Bionade Ingwer Orange)

Preparation

Step 1

1) Pour wine into a large pitcher and toss in the fruit pieces and pineapple then add sugar, orange juice and orange liquor.
2) Chill overnight.
3) Add ginger ale, berries and ice just before serving. If you'd like to serve right away, use chilled red wine and serve over lots of ice. However, remember that the best Sangrias are chilled around 24 hours in the frig. - allowing the flavors to really marinate into each other.
