Ingredients

  • 2 cups poha (beaten rice)
  • 1 potato
  • 1 onion
  • 3 green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp any seeds
  • 5-6 curry leaves
  • 2 tsp peanuts
  • 2 tblsp oil
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated coconut
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Soak the poha in water. Wash and drain all the water.

2. Add salt , turmeric powder , sugar & keep aside.

3. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes, chop the onions, chillies,
corainder leaves.

4. Heat oil and put, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, any seeds, peanuts, curry
leaves & fry until they crackle.

5. Add potatoes, saute for few minutes, then add chopped onions, green
chillies.

6. Cook till they are done. Add the poha, corainder leaves ,lemon juice and
stir.

7. Garnish with coriander leaves & fresh grated coconut.

8. Aloo poha is ready to serve.
