Ingredients

  • 2 cups beef, pork, chicken or shrimp cut into small strips or pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, cut diagonally
  • 1/2 cup cut diagonally carrots
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 2 scallions or green onions cut in slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon slt
  • 1 dash of pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons corn oil
  • 1 bouillon cube or 1 tsp. granular
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 Tablespoon soy sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Combine meat, vegetables and seasonings. Heat oil in a large size skillet.

Add meat mixture, bouillon and 1 cup water. Cover skillet, simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

Push chicken mixture to one side of skillet. Blend cornstarch, soy sauce and 1/2 cup water; stir slowly into liquid in skillet.

Cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens and begins to become transparent.

Mix chicken mixture into sauce.

Serve hot with cooked rice.
