Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Heat chicken, onions, celery, mixed
vegetables and chicken broth to boiling in 5-quart Dutch oven. Stir
cornstarch into cold water until dissolved; stir into chicken
mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1
minute; remove from heat. Stir in parsley. Pour into ungreased
rectangular pan, 13 by 9 by 2 inches.

Stir Bisquick and milk until soft dough forms. Drop by 30
teaspoonfuls onto chicken mixture.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

TIPS:

Complete this comfort meal with homemade cinnamon applesauce. Just stir ground cinnamon into applesauce to taste, and serve warm if desired.

For Parmesan-Garlic biscuits, stir 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder into the dough before dropping it onto chicken mixture.

REVIEWS:

Boring...seems like something is missing. Very watery. My son said it tasted like chicken soup. Next time, I'll just make chicken soup. Husband called it "nothing to write home about."

I just made this recipe for the second time. I'm not sure why people are saying it's bland...it's very similar to every other chicken and biscuits recipe I've had. It reminds me of chicken pot pie. Delicious! My husband is kinda picky and he loves this one...ends up going back for seconds every time. We added a little salt but nothing else. It tasted great to us. Give it a try!

This wasn't difficult to make but it wasn't anything spectacular. It was very bland and needed more seasoning. We ate it, but I wouldn't make it again.

This recipe was OK, nothing spectacular. Although it’s a good way to get rid of leftover chicken, it’s bland. I did it different the 2nd time by sautéing the onions and celery in a little bot of butter, then heating the chicken before adding the veggies and broth. It needed to be spiced up so I added garlic powder, and sage.

I couldn''t wait to make this recipe, I thought my family would love it. I made it the other night, it wasn''t difficult to make, but did take a bit of time. We sat down to dinner and my family hated it! I told them we were not throwing away this food and we are eating it left over the next night. After reheating, we didn''t end up eating the reheated portion and threw away what remained. We did not enjoy it at all, and I usually like just about everything.

My family can''t get enough of this!! It''s so yummy!

This was the best dinner I have ever eaten and the best dinner I have ever made!
