Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp basil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 28oz can whole tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp oregano
  • 2 6oz tomato paste
  • 3 Cups Cottage Cheese
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp parsley
  • 1/2 Cup Parm Cheese
  • 1 lb mozzarella
  • 10 oz. oven ready lasagna noodles

Preparation

Step 1

Brown beef and drain fat. Add garlic, parsley, basil, salt, tomatoes, oregano, tomato paste. Simmer 30 min to blend flavours, stirring occasionally.

Cook noodles in boiling water until soft, rinse and cool, or just use oven ready and skip this step.

Combine Cottage Cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, parsley, parm cheese.

Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of 9 X 11 square, top with noodles, add a layer of cottage cheese mixture, then meat sauce and repeat. Add Mozerella to top and bake at 375 for 30 min. Let stand 15 min before serving.
