Pasta Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg thick cut Bacon
  • 1 head Garlic, chopped
  • 1 c frozen Peas
  • 1/2 pkg Spaghetti
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 c Parmasan
  • 2 1/2 c Pasta Water
  • Olive Oil

Preparation

Step 1

Cut up bacon into bite size pieces. Put in very large frying pan with olive oil. cook until really brown. While this is cooking, take your two eggs and parmasan and beat together in a small bowl. Set aside. Add chopped up garlic. Cook until garlic is clear. Turn temp to low. Cook pasta according to directions. Turn heat on bacon back up to med and add pasta a little at a time. Toss with the bacon. At this time add 1 c of pasta water and toss. Make a large hole in the center of you pan. Take your egg mixture and add to pasta pan and toss quickly so the eggs don't scramble. Season pasta with salt and pepper. Add 1 1/2 c more pasta water and keep on low heat while continuing to toss. Serve.
