Cut Glass*

Lois and I made this several times a year.

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 3/4 cup corn syrup
• food coloring
• 1 teaspoon oil based extract
• powder sugar for dusting

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, water and syrup, in a heavy sauce pan.
Cook to 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat. Add coloring a d extract Mix fas and well Pour onto a greased cookie sheet. Let cool, dust with powdered sugar and break into small pieces.
