Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons milk
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons minced red candied cherries
- 2 Tablespoon minced candied orange peel
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, over medium-high heat,
heat sugar, butter or margarine, honey and milk to boiling, stirring frequently. Set candy thermometer in place and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches 232 degrees, a thread stage. Stir in flour, cherries, orange peel and vanilla.
Keep mixture warm over very low heat, drop by Tablespoons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 for 5 or 6 minutes or until edges of cookies are brown and center is golden.
