- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
In a large mixing bowl; cream brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Stir in oats, flour, chips, baking soda and vanilla. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheets. Bake 12 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool and serve.
