Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 (29 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Toppings:
  • 1 (18 oz.) box white cake mix
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. In large mixer bowl combine all filling ingredients. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth (1 to 2 minutes). Pour into 13x9 inch baking pan. In small mixer bowl combine cake mix and margarine. Beat at low speed. Scraping bowl often, until crumbly (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in pecans. Sprinkle topping evenly over pumpkin mixture. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Cut into squares. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
