Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup crisco
  • 1/2 cup sharp shredded cheddar or swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 425 degrees

1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, dill and salt. Cut in crisco until looks like coarse meal.

2. Stir in shredded cheese. Add milk and stir just enough to hold dough together.

3. Place on floured surface and knead lightly; roll to 3/4 in. thck

4. Cut with floured biscuit cutter pushing straight down. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes
