Heavenly Hotcakes

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 C Four
• 3 Tbs Baking Powder
• 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/2 tsp Salt
• 1 1/2 Tbs Sugar
• 1 C Buttermilk
• 1/2 C Cold Water
• 1 Egg
• 3 Tbs Melted Butter
• 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Step 1

Prepare stovetop griddle or large non-stick frypan lightly wiped with cooking oil. Preheat the cooking surface to just before smoking.


Sift together dry ingredients. In a separate bowl whisk together wet ingrdients. Slowly fold dry ingredients into wet. Do not over stir. Resultant batter should be loose and lumpy. Add more water if necessary.


Using a 1/4 C measure drop batter onto heated surface. Set timer for 1min 30seconds. Turn. 1min 30seconds.
