Ingredients

  • 8 pork chops, 1 1/2-inches thick
  • salt, pepper and paprika
  • flour
  • butter
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or cashews
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can mushroom soup
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • minced parsley

Step 1

Season pork chops to taste with salt, pepper and paprika. Dredge with flour. Brown quickly in a small amount of butter. Place chops in a shallow baking pan and pour evaporated milk over. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for one hour. Add mushrooms and mushroom soup; bake for 30 minutes longer. Sprinkle with walnut, which have been browned lightly in butter and with minced parsley.
