Ingredients
- 2 1/4 C flour
- 1 C cocoa powder
- 2 t baking powder
- 3/4 t baking soda
- 1/4 t salt
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 C sugar
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 t van x
- 1 1/2 C sour cream
- 6 oz bittersweet choco, melted 7 cooled

Step 1
Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt; repeat til well blended. In a seperate bowl, beat butter, sugar; increase speed. Add the eggs a little at a time. Beat in van x Add flour mix in three additions, alternating w/ the sour cream and beginning and ending w/ the flour. Fold in choco. Bake til done in center. Glaze: Mix in saucepan 1 C sugar, 1/2 C water til sugar is melted. Remove from heat and add 1 T choco liquor. Dust cooled cake w/ 10 x sugar after glazing has set. Serve w/ whipped cream or van ice cream
