Ingredients
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
- 3/4 cup toasted pepitos
- 3/4 cup toasted pecans
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1
Grease a cookie sheet and spatula with butter. Combine sugars and corn syrup in a large microwave bowl (it will boil up pretty high). Microwave, uncovered, on high for 4 min. Stir in peppers, pepitos, nuts, butter and salt. Microwave 4 more min. Remove from microwave and quickly stir in soda. It will become light and foamy. Quickly pour onto prepared cookie sheet, spreading thin. When cooled break into pieces and store in air tight container.
