Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

This is an easy slow cooker recipe that cooks while you are at work! It is wonderful on a cold, snowy day. I have two children who are picky eaters, and they LOVE this! Enjoy!"

Ingredients
- 7 Frozen boneless chicken breast
- 4 Large potatoes, cubed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1/2 onion, finely diced
- 1 celery stock, finely diced
- add spices to taste; cumin, parsley, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and pepper
- 1 cups of frozen peas
- 1/2 cup of cut carots
- Add 1/2 cup of water to slow cooker as dumplings will absorb most of the liquid.
- Dumplings (makes 8)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup milk

Step 1
Place soup and broth in slow cooker, stir to mix. Then add frozen chicken, butter,celery and onion and spices. Cover, and cook for 2 hours on High. Add potato and cook for 2 hours more on high. Tear meat with 2 forks and add peas and carrots and stir lightly.
Add 1/2 cup of water to slow cooker as dumplings will absorb most of the liquid.
Add dumplings, and cook for another 45 mins on high. Dumplings Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in medium size bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk to make a soft dough. Drop by spoonfuls into stew. Cover and simmer 45 minutes without lifting lid. Serve.
