Ingredients

  • 1/2 c unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 8 oz almond paste
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 T Triple Sec or can use 1/4 teas orange extract and 1 teas vanilla extract instead of Triple Sec
  • 1 teas almond extract
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 1/3 teas baking powder
  • Confectioners' sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Line a 9 inch round cake pan with waxed paper. Butter and flour the waxed paper. Cream the butter, sugar and almond paste in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, Triple Sec and almond extract and mix well. Add the flour and baking powder and mix just until blended. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan.
Then invert on a plate and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
