Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken parts, on bone
  • 1 ⁄2 cup flour
  • salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1⁄2 cups cranberries
  • 3 ⁄4 cup sugar
  • 1 ⁄4 cup onion, chopped
  • 3 ⁄4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Season flour with salt and coat chicken with mixture and brown in the butter, turning once in a large frying pan.

Meanwhile, combine the next 7 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Pour over the chicken the frying pan and cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
