- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cups pecan halves (16 oz)
- 3 cups 10x sugar
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp nutmeg

Step 1
preheat oven to 300. melt butter in large, heavy skillet, stir in pecans. saute over low heat for 20 minutes, until nuts lightly browned. remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. sift together sugar and spices, pour into large ziploc. add pecans and shake well until well coated with sugar. spread pecans out on new paper towels lined cookie sheet. place in oven. turn off heat and dry pecans overnight.
