Ingredients
- BOTTOM LAYER
- 1/2 cup butter/margarine
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- TOP LAYER
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp almond flavoring
- 1 cup coconut
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup glazed cherries, cut up
- 1/2 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Preparation
Step 1
BOTTOM LAYER: Mix all 6 ingredients together until mealy. Pack into ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake in 350 oven for 10 minutes.
TOP LAYER: Beat eggs with spoon. Add remaining ingredients in order given. Spoon over bottom layer. Bake in 350 oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until set. Frost if desired.
ICING:
2 cups icing sugar
3 tbsp butter/margarine softened
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
2 tbsp cherry juice or water
Beat all together adding more liquid if needed for easy spreading. Cherry juice makes a light pink icing and water makes a white icing. Spread over top.
