Ingredients
- For Meringue:
- 1 Baked Flaky Pie Crust
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cream of Tarter
- 1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
- For Filling:
- 1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 12-ounce can evaporated milk
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup milk
- 3 Tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Preparation
Step 1
For Filling:
Mix together Brown Sugar, corn starch, salt, evaporated milk, egg yolks, & milk.
Boil stirring constantly until mixture is thick. Remove form stove top and add butter and vanilla extract. Pour into baked pie shell. Spoon prepared meringue over pie and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Serve chilled. Serves 8.
