Ingredients

  • ½ C. butter or margarine
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 to 4 bananas, mashed
  • 1 tea. soda
  • ½ tea. salt
  • 1 tea. baking powder
  • 2 1/4 C. plain flour
  • ½ C. orange juice
  • 1 C. chopped nuts (optional)
  • ●Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs.
  • ●Mix dry ingredients together and add alternately with orange juice, ending with flour mixture.
  • ●Add bananas and nuts; mix well.
  • ●Bake in large greased loaf pan for 1 hour (or a little more) at 325 degrees.

●Note: Mixture can be divided into 4 small loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 45 minutes if divided.
