Chocolate and Hazelnut Slice

Ingredients
- Cocoa powder, to dust
- 1 cup tasated hazelnuts, skins rubbed off with a tea towel
- 2/3 c plain flour
- 1/2 c caster sugar
- 50 g unsalted butter
- 500 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 c cream

Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a 20cm square pan and dust with cocoa, tapping out excess
coarsley grind 2/3 c hazelnuts in a processor with flour, sugar and 1/2 t salt. Roughly chop remaining nuts and stir into the mixture. Transfer to a bowl.
Melt butter in a pan over low heat. then add 150g chocolate. Heat gently for 1-2 minutes until just melted, then whisk until smooth. Remvoe fom heat, then add egg one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir into nut mixture until well combined. Spoon into cake pan and spread evenly. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a skewer comes out with sticky crumbs. Cool completely in pan.
Make ganache with cream and rest of chocolate. Spread over cooled base, and cover and chill for 3 hours until set, then cut into squares using a knife dipped in hot water.
