Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (1.5 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 package (11.5 oz) Baker's Milk Chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix flour, baking soda and alt in medium bowl; set aside.
Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto uncreased cookie sheets.
Bake 11 to 13 minutes or just until golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minutes. Remove to wire racks and cool completely.
