  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 Tbsp buttrer
  • 1/2 lb Velveeta cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • speck pepper
  • 2 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cook macaroni. In a separate pot (either double boiler or over low heat), add minced onion to butter. When butter melts, add flour, mustard, salt and pepper. Slowly add milk. Cook until smooth and hot, stirring continuously. Slice cheese into hot sauce and let melt. Pour cheese over macaroni in 1 1/2 quart casserole. You can save some of your cheese for topping and add buttered crumbs too. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
