- 1 pint fresh strawberries
- 3 T. granulated sugar
- 2 T. butter, softened
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. milk

Preparation
Step 1
Clean strawberries and slice into thick slices (for small berries, cut them in half). Place sliced strawberries in a 9x9-inch glass baking dish coated with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle sliced strawberries with the 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar, toss to coat with the sugar, and dot the berries with small pieces of the softened butter.
In a bowl, mix the self-rising flour, 3/4 cups of granulated sugar, and milk until just combined. Pour over the strawberries.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until lightly golden browned and the berries are bubbly.
