Ingredients
- 1 8-ounce can gluten free almond paste
- 1 extra large egg white
- 1/4 cup superfine cane sugar (see tips)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or silpat pads
Break almond paste into small pieces in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and beat until creamy. Add egg white and beat on high until the mixture is smooth, about 1 minute.
Scoop mixture into a heavy-duty plastic sandwich bag. Press the mixture down into one corner of the bag. Snip about 1/4-inch of the corner of the bag. You have just made your own pastry piping bag!
Twist the bag and squeeze out heart shapes and fill in middle of hearts.
Bake for 20 minutes. Turn the baking sheet around and bake an additional 5 minutes or until light golden.
Cool on baking sheet before removing. Store in an airtight container.
Yield- About 16 hearts depending on how big you make them!
Tips-
To make your own superfine sugar, add sugar to a clean coffee bean grinder and pulse about 3 times for superfine sugar.
