Ingredients

  • # 1 cup soft butter or 1 cup soft margarine
  • # 2 cups sugar
  • # 1 cup store bought eggnog
  • # 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • # 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • # 5 1/2 cups flour, sifted
  • # 1 egg white, lightly beaten
  • # colored sprinkles

Step 1

1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
2. 2 Beat in Eggnog, baking soda and nutmeg.
3. 3 Gradually add flour and mix well.
4. 4 Cover and chill at least 1 hour.
5. 5 On a lightly floured surface roll out half of the dough to 1/8 thickness.
6. 6 Cut into desired shapes, place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
7. 7 Brush cookies with beaten egg white and sprinkle on colored sugar.
8. 8 Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes.
9. 9 Remove to cool on a wire rack.
