Ingredients
- 2 C. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 C. shortening
- 1 C. sugar
- 1 C. mashed bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C. chopped nuts

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
Cream shortening and gradually add sugar.
Cream well; blend in the 2 eggs, 1 at a time.
Add bananas and mix well.
Blend in sifted dry ingredients; add chopped nuts.
Pour in greased pan 9 x 5 x 3 in; push batter up in the corners, leaving center slightly hollow for a rounded loaf.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes at 350.
Cool well before serving.
