Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, sliced
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 C. sifted all purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 C. granulated sugar
  • 1 C. cooking oil
  • 1/4 C. orange juice
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together apples, sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
Sift flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar.
Mix oil, juice, vanilla and eggs and add to the dry ingredients.
Put layer of butter in ungreased tube pan, then layer of apple mixture.
End with layer of butter on top.
Bake at 350 degree for 1 hr. 20 minutes.
When cold, ice with your favorite butter icing.
