Ingredients

  • 1 fresh California Avocado, diced
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 1 hard boiled egg, diced
  • 1 grilled chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 4 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, diced
  • 4 Pita Pocket Halves (I prefer this homemade recipe or Oroweat 8 Grain Pocket Thins
  • Creamy Avocado Ranch Dressing (recipe follows)

Preparation

Step 1

Open a pita pocket and layer lettuce first, then add additional ingredients until "stuffed". Drizzle with Creamy Avocado Ranch dressing.

1 California Avocado, peeled and pit removed
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoon buttermilk
2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cracked, black pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried parsley
1 pinch dried dill weed
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1 garlic clove

Mash avocado in a bowl, then stir in mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and vinegar. Add parsley, dill, pepper, onion powder, and garlic. Stir until well blended, chill until ready to serve.
