Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound of sausage meat or
- ¾ pound of sausage meat and ¾ pound of minced veal
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 1 tablespoons chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon sage
- 1 cup fresh white breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- 1 green apple cored and sliced
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- 1 egg beaten
- stock from turkey
Details
Preparation
Step 1
1. Melt butter in a pad and add the onion and apple.
2. Cover and cook until soft.
3. Add to the meat with the herbs and breadcrumbs and plenty of salt and pepper.
4. Mix thoroughly, then add the egg and enough stock to bind the mixture.
5. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
6. Before serving, add bouillon from the turkey and reheat.
