Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup regular rice (not minutes) washed and drained
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Step 1

Cook on low heat, until rice is done. Then:
Beat 3 eggs with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Beat well. Add to rice mixture and cook for 2 minutes. Pour into casserole and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Note: Raisins may be added, at the time you add egg mixture to rice mixture.
