Preparation
Step 1
Make Yeasted Doughnut recipe.
CINNAMON SUGAR
Mix 1 cup sugar for rolling with 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon in medium bowl or pie plate. Roll doughnuts in cinnamon sugar to coat.
VANILLA-GLAZE
Make yeasted doughnut and omit rolling in sugar. While doughnuts are cooling, whisk together 1/2 cup half-and-half, 3 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted, and 1 tsp vanilla extract in medium bowl until combined. When doughnuts have cooled, dip both sides of each doughnut into glaze, shake off any excess glaze, and transfer to wire rack to set glaze.
CHOCOLATE-GLAZE
Make yeasted doughnut and omit rolling in sugar. While doughnuts are cooling, place 4 oz. chocolate in small bowl. Add 1/2 cup hot half-and-half and whisk together to melt chocolate. Add 2 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted, and whisk until no lumps remain. When doughnuts have cooled, dip one side of each doughnut into glaze, shake off any excess glaze and transfer to wire rack to set glaze.
