Ingredients
- 1 loaf of Italian/French bread, cut lengthwise
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- butter, softened
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese (12 oz.)

Preparation
Step 1
Brown the beef and onion. Drain. Add the salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
Cut the bread lengthwise in half. Butter both halves and place on a baking sheet.
Remove the meat mixture from the heat and stir in the sour cream.
Spoon onto the bread.
Top with chopped tomatoes, peppers, and chedder cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes (or until the cheese is melted).
BAKE LONGER FOR CRISPIER BREAD.
