Ingredients
- Marinade:
- 1 leg of lamb, boned, trimmed and butterflied
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground anise
- 1 cup natural yogurt

Step 1
Combine all the marinade ingredients. Place lamb in a shallow dish. Coat the lamb with the marinade mixture. Cover and marinate 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Drain lamb, reserving marinade. Place lamb in center of the BBQ grill. Cook 45 to 55 minutes for rare 140° F. (60° C.), 55 to 65 minutes for medium 160° F. (71° C.), or 1-1/4 hours for well-done 170° F. (77° C.). Brush with remaining marinade during the cooking time.
