Ingredients
- 2 c milk
- 5 free range egg yolks
- 1/4 c caster sugar
- Finely grated zest of 1/2 orange
- 2-3 t grand marnier or cognac

Preparation
Step 1
Place milk in a saucepan over medium low heat. Bring to just below boiling point, the remove from the heat.
Lightly whisk egg yolks and sugar together in a bowl until smooth. Gradually stir in hot milk, return to heat and cook until nappe. Remove from heat and stir in the orange zest and liquor to taste. Cover surface with plastic wrap.
