Ingredients

  • 2 cups crushed corn chips
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies drained
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese divided
  • 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 medium green bell pepper chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine corn chips, egg and water in medium bowl. Press onto bottom and up sides of 9” pie plate or casserole. Combine soup mix, chilies, ground beef and 1/2 cup of the cheese in large bowl. Press evenly into prepared crust. Top with tomato sauce and green pepper. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and beef is done.
