Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp hard margarine
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 lb scallops, quarter large ones
  • canned french fried onions (2 3/4 oz.)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt margarine in frying pan. Add onion. Saute 3 minutes.

Add mushrooms. Saute about 5 minutes more.

Mix in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in milk until it boils and thickens.

Add scallops. Stir. Turn into ungreased 2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered, in 350 oven for 30 minutes.

Cover with onions. Bake about 10 minutes more to heat through.
